Palu, - Rector of the State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Palu, Central Sulawesi Prof. Dr. H. Sagaf S Pettalongi, M.Pd stated that planning becomes one of the most important parts in realizing the vision and mission of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
"I understand that planning is something that is very important to reach the estuary," said Prof. Dr. Sagaf S Pettalongi while delivering remarks to the Focus Group Discussion of State Islamic Religious College Planning (PTKIN) Indonesia, in Palu, Saturday 24/3 nights.
The State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Palu hosted the 2nd Plans of FGD Planning involving almost all of PTKIN under the auspices of the Ministry of Religious Affairs throughout Indonesia.
Prof. Sagaf Pettalongi said that physical and non-physical development planning, which is carried out with the principles of evaluation and synchronization, further supports the goals of development achievement aspired by the state, followed by all ministries including the Ministry of Religious Affairs and all the PTKIN underneath.
"Good planning shows the form of good management, so if we make good planning, then we have made good management, including good governance," said Prof. Sagaf Pettalongi.
This Education Management Specialist calls the Ministry of Religious Affairs through the General Directorate of Islamic Education to target three important things in the implementation of Islamic education in Indonesia.
First, call Prof. Sagaf, improving the quality of education. Kemenag wants all universities to change the pattern and innovate in the development and improvement of education quality.
"There are three things that the Ministry of Religious Affairs hopes to achieve through the General Directorate of Islamic Education, firstly about improving the quality, which is implemented by IAIN Palu. Focus IAIN Palu in the forefront of 2018 is the improvement of quality for competitiveness," said Prof. Sagaf.
He wants the improvment of the education quality should be a priority in the development and implementation of education that is supported by good planning.
Second, the digitalization of services and administration of administration in all aspects. This is as a form of acceleration and improvement of service quality, and acceleration of development.
The third is about the internationalization of the State Islamic Religious College (PTKIN). The General Directorate of Islamic Research targets lecturers and students from countries in the world who teach and study at PTKIN all over Indonesia.
