Palu, (PR IAIN) - The total number of applicants at the State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Palu, Central Sulawesi through the National Academic Achievement Selection (SPAN) reaches 1,217 applicants.

Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Institution Development of IAIN Palu, Dr. Abidin Djafar said the SPAN registration for State Islamic Religious College (PTKIN) I amounted to 724 and PTKIN II 493.

"IAIN will soon establish a local committee to discuss prospective new students or applicants through SPAN," said Dr. Abidin Djafar, in Palu on Thursday.

IAIN Palu became PTKIN II in the admission of new students through SPAN with a number of 493 applicants. PTKIN I are other universities in Indonesia.

Abidin said, the central committee gave authority to the local committee to determine the graduation of the SPAN path registries.

He acknowledged that there are several indicators to be assessed to determine the graduation of applicants via SPAN.

That is, the value of the registrant must be the highest value, the condition of the school, the economic condition of the student and the parents. Student skills, IAIN development policies.

"Yes, there are some categories or standards that must be considered in the graduation assessment.This will be the reference of the local team or committee," said Abidin.

The local committee will work on April 18, 2018, and deliver the results to the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Jakarta.

IAIN Palu has started opening new student enrollment. For SPAN registration registration is open from 2nd-29th February, 2018.

In addition to these lines, IAIN also opens acceptance through UM-PTKIN and independent / local paths to high school alumni students.

"In 2018, IAIN Palu targets to receive 2,000 new students, supported by the facilities and infrastructure available," he explained.
